Coaching is a talking therapy based on the belief that you are unique, and have within you the capability to help yourself, given the right support and encouragement.
Your Coach holds space and carefully helps you navigate what's on your mind, to help you live your best life. We can only control ourselves, so Coaching focuses on you finding solutions that work for you, and help you take control of yourself and your life.
Coaching can leave you feeling lighter, refreshed, and more at peace with yourself.
J. Whitmore, Coaching for Performance
Coaching is an immensely powerful tool that can change your life. If you are ready to take action and make changes, Coaching can help you identify what you need to change, and how.
Change cannot effectively be coerced or forced. You need to choose change. In Coaching, by talking, thinking, and feeling, you can understand your own reality and be empowered to pursue the change you want.
Carve out a precious hour a week, or month, and dedicate it to your future self.
Coaching helps you improve your life at home and at work. The difference between Life Coaching and Business Coaching is who pays: you, or your employer.
You aren't a different person at work and at home, you are you, wherever you are. You behave differently in different settings, but the underlying person is the one we work on, not how you present yourself.
We work holistically because that is the most effective method that gives the best, long lasting results.
Nicki McClusky, International Coaching Federation
In essence, coaching is creating a non-judgemental space in which you are empowered to fulfil your potential. This simple definition could apply to various different activities or interventions, however in coaching, each word is really meant in its true form.
The emphasis is on empowering the individual to find their own solutions, via a natural, self-created and self-directed train of thought. Bresser and Wilson wrote that “At the heart of coaching lies the idea of empowering people by facilitating self-directed learning, personal growth and improved performance.” (Excellence in Coaching: The Industry Guide).
As Parsloe and Wray put it, “The aim [of coaching] is to help and support people to manage their own learning in order that they may maximise their potential, develop their skills, improve their performance and enable them to become the person they want to be.” (Coaching and Mentoring: Practical Methods to Improve Learning).
Our Coaching sessions are welcoming, confidential spaces where you can feel truly heard and supported. Led by a University of Cambridge-trained Coach, they’re rooted in a rich blend of academic insight and compassionate understanding—drawing from psychoanalysis, psychotherapy, holistic practices, and psychology.
Are you ready to face yourself? Would you like gentle but powerful support while you navigate the next few months? Do you want to increase your performance in any area of your life?
If you said yes to any of the above then Coaching would be a great fit for you right now.
Remember, courage is persevering despite your fears.
